About the role

The incumbent will teach an English dual credit course at Lake Zurich High School. They are responsible for maintaining eligibility to work with secondary and post-secondary students in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Job Description

Teach an English dual credit course at Lake Zurich High School. Currently or will be teaching English at Lake Zurich High School; Master's degree in any field,

AND-eighteen (18) graduate semester hours

OR-equivalent in one of the following disciplines: English, Reading, Literacy, Composition, Literature, Creative Writing, Linguistics,

OR- Secondary Education with eighteen (18) semester hours of graduate credit in one of the areas previously mentioned; Possess and maintain eligibility to work with secondary (high school) and post-secondary students, in-person at all assigned work locations and virtually, in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Illinois School Code and Faith's Law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer fingerprint-based criminal history records check, Employment History Review, and any other screening or clearance requirements mandated by state or federal law and applicable school district policies or procedures. Continued employment is subject to maintaining such eligibility and clearances. Pay Rate: Salaries for Dual Credit Adjuncts are paid through their high school district. The College of Lake County may provide stipends for specific professional development activities.
