Help kids build confidence through hands-On learning

Are you energetic, reliable, and passionate about working with kids? Snapology of Lancaster is looking for a Part-Time Program Facilitator to lead engaging, hands-on programs that inspire children to build, create, collaborate, and solve problems.

This is a great opportunity for college students, education majors, substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, homeschool parents, retirees, or anyone looking for meaningful part-time work with a consistent schedule and opportunities for additional hours throughout the year.

Schedule

This position averages 20–25 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours during busy seasons.

Our Program Facilitators typically work

  • Tuesday,
  • Wednesday, and
  • Thursday evenings (approximately 4:00–8:00 PM)
  • Saturdays (typically every other Saturday)
  • Occasional daytime shifts for school field trips, homeschool programs, and special events

While daytime hours vary based on programming, evening shifts are a consistent part of the weekly schedule.

What you'll do

Lead Engaging Programs Teach fun, hands-on enrichment programs using Snapology's provided curriculum, LEGO® Bricks, robotics, and other interactive learning tools. No lesson planning required—we provide the curriculum, training, and materials.

Inspire Young Builders Create a positive, encouraging environment where children build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiences.

Facilitate Memorable Experiences Lead programs at the Snapology Discovery Center, local schools, libraries, and community partner locations, adapting activities for children ages 4–14.

Represent Snapology Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners while maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.

Prepare & Wrap Up Set up materials before each program and clean up afterward to ensure every learning space is ready for the next group.

  • What we're looking for
  • Experience working with children in a group setting (teaching certification not required)
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable leading activities after completing training
  • Availability to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
  • Availability for regular Saturday programming
  • Flexibility to work occasional daytime programs as scheduled
  • Reliable transportation to the Snapology center and local partner locations
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to successfully complete federal, state, and child abuse background checks
  • Dependable, organized, energetic, and enthusiastic
