Cardinal Ritter College Prep, a St.
Louis Archdiocesan coeducational college preparatory high school serving grades 9–12, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Girls Basketball Coach to support the school's girls basketball program.
The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to develop student-athletes athletically, academically, spiritually, and socially while helping to build a competitive and successful program.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a commitment to student development, and support for the mission and values of Cardinal Ritter College Prep and the Archdiocese of St.
Louis.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the Head Girls Basketball Coach with the planning, organization, and supervision of the girls basketball program.
Support the development and implementation of practice plans, skill development activities, and game preparation.
Provide instruction in basketball fundamentals, team strategy, conditioning, and sportsmanship.
Assist with supervising student-athletes during practices, games, team travel, and other program-related activities.
Encourage academic success, accountability, leadership, and personal growth among student-athletes.
Help monitor student-athlete eligibility and academic progress.
Assist with organizing equipment, uniforms, and other program resources.
Support game-day operations, scouting, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, teamwork, discipline, and character development.
Serve as a positive role model and representative of Cardinal Ritter College Prep.
Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, coaches, faculty, and administration.
Ensure compliance with all Archdiocesan, school, conference, and MSHSAA policies and regulations.
Support the mission, philosophy, and expectations of Cardinal Ritter College Prep.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Athletic Director, Principal, or President.
Candidates should have previous basketball coaching or playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or club level. A commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church and the ability to pass all required background checks and safety screenings are mandatory.
