The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a dedicated Vocational Nurse Adjunct Instructor to join our Houston Northwest campus. As a VN Adjunct Instructor, you will provide engaging instruction, foster student success, and help prepare aspiring vocational nurses for rewarding careers in healthcare. This is an onsite position requiring instructors to teach in person at our Houston Northwest campus. What You'll Do Deliver engaging classroom instruction following the approved curriculum. Prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed for success in vocational nursing. Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic achievement. Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback. Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records. Ensure compliance with CHCP policies, nursing program standards, and regulatory requirements. Serve as a mentor and professional role model for students.
Required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from an accredited institution. Current, unencumbered Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of three (3) years of recent clinical nursing experience. Pediatric and/or Obstetric clinical experience is required for lecture instruction. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Previous teaching or instructor experience in nursing or healthcare education. Experience mentoring or precepting nursing students or new nurses. Teaching experience is not required.
