Plan and lead engaging, safe, and well-organized daily practices. Teach cheerleading skills, including motions, jumps, dance, chants, stunts, and conditioning appropriate to the team's skill level. Develop practice plans that promote skill progression, teamwork, confidence, and physical fitness. Foster a culture of integrity, mutual respect, inclusion, and encouragement that reflects George School's Quaker commitment to equality and community. Promote leadership, sportsmanship, empathy, and respectful communication among team members. Prepare the squad for athletic events, pep rallies, and other school performances. Previous cheerleading coaching or competitive cheer experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of cheer techniques, including motions, jumps, dance, sideline cheers, and safe stunt progression. Ability to teach and supervise stunts in accordance with recognized safety standards. Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or willingness to obtain certification before the season begins. Ability to obtain all required employment clearances and successfully complete required background checks. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with athletic department staff, faculty, students, and families. Availability to attend practices, games, school events, and any required meetings or professional development.
