About the role

The Speech and Language Pathologist will plan, develop, and implement instructional programs for students with communication disorders. They will also collaborate with school staff, maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEP), and conduct assessments to identify student needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education, plans, develops, and implements instructional programs for individuals who have been identified and assessed as needing language and speech services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide a language/speech program for students enrolled in Special Education Identify, assess, plans, implement, and evaluate speech and language programs Identify and assess students with communication disorders; provide referrals as necessary (e.g. medical, audiological, psychological, behavioral) Develop appropriate Individualized Education Plans (IEP) Implement and maintain current IEPs Interact, consult and collaborate with school staff, including providing staff training as necessary Participate in parent/school informational meetings when appropriate Maintain records as necessary Continue professional growth Perform related duties as requested WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US: Health care coverage options, including medical, dental, and vision. WHO YOU ARE: You are detail-oriented, hardworking, and can execute at a high level You can operate independently in a fast-paced environment You have knowledge of special education law, ed code, and federal and state laws pertaining to students with special needs. You have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field You posses a valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential authorizing services in Language, Speech & Hearing or a valid Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential You have verification of current California Speech-Language Pathology license Bullis Charter School (BCS), a TK-8 charter public school located in Los Altos, California, provides students and parents with an innovative, empowering and results-oriented public school choice. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field and possess a valid California Speech-Language Pathology license. Knowledge of special education law and federal/state regulations pertaining to students with special needs is required.
