The instructor is responsible for conducting in-person American Heart Association CPR, BLS, and First Aid training sessions. They must ensure a positive learning environment, assess participant performance, and maintain accurate records of training sessions.
Per Diem (Part-Time/Casual) based on training need; hours are based on area training needs and are not guaranteed.
A flexible schedule that may include morning, evening and weekends.
Training sites in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
$30/hr.—plus mileage reimbursement (60+ miles, round trip). Reimbursement for tolls and parking will also be provided.

Summary of
Position: The primary responsibility of each Instructor is to conduct in person American Heart Association (AHA), Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Heartsaver CPR AED/First Aid trainings. Instructors are expected to ensure that each student has a productive and meaningful experience.
Essential
Responsibilities: Conduct First Aid and CPR training classes for individuals and group Follow established AHA lesson plans and instructional materials for courses Provide clear and concise explanations of CPR & First Aid techniques and procedures Demonstrate proper techniques for administering life saving skills Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage participants and facilitate learning Create a positive and supportive learning environment Assess participant performance and provide feedback for improvement Stay up-to-date with current guidelines and practices Maintain responsibility for instruction and classroom management Track attendance and report each training session to the Regional Coordinator and/or Director in a timely manner Maintain reliable access to a computer with reliable internet access; maintain reliable access to a printer Create a positive and supportive learning environment Adhere to organizational code of conduct and ethics
and Experience: CPR Certification (Required) Valid PA Driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle (Required) AHA CPR Instructor Certification (Preferred) Teaching: 1 year (Preferred) Healthcare Experience (Preferred)
