The instructor is responsible for delivering quality classroom and laboratory instruction while ensuring students achieve course competencies. They must also manage the classroom environment, assess student learning, and actively support student retention and success.
Cosmetology/Manicuring/Cosmetology Instructors must document and maintain their current State of Michigan Cosmetology Instructor’s license. At least a high school diploma or equivalent, some program instructors require further education. Prior experience teaching is preferred, as applicable. Licensure Required: Appropriate and current State of Michigan licensure in the field taught must be maintained WORKING / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; and have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a phone, computer keyboard and other office equipment Evening or weekend hours, if necessary, to meet deadlines and meet with prospective students.
