The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and maintaining a safe, organized classroom environment. They engage directly with children during daily activities and build consistent, positive relationships with families.
Your role
As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.
Pay and benefits
$11.00-$12.75 per hour, based on experience and education.
Hold a High School Diploma or its equivalent and are able to pass a background check. Education in Early Childhood Education and experience within a licensed center is a big plus!
Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances.
Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.
