The Middle School Supervisor is responsible for monitoring students throughout the school day, including arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal. They also manage daily logistics, enforce safety protocols, and maintain accurate student records using school software.

Position We are looking for a Middle School Supervisor to monitor students during the school day.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for the supervisory team, coordinating daily logistics, managing early morning check-ins, and ensuring seamless communication across shifts.

You will be asked to follow and remind students of our health/safety protocols.

Early Shift

  • Communication: Assist and facilitate communication among the supervisory team to ensure consistent campus coverage for middle school. Coordinate and collaborate with other supervisors for shift handoffs and daily updates. ●Morning

  • AM): Assist the Supervisors with early morning student check-in and arrival logistics. Support the secure collection and organization of student cellphones early in the day. Manage the early morning cellphone collection process, ensuring secure storage and accurate logging. ●

  • Enforcement: Monitor students during key moments of the day (lunch, recesses), maintaining high visibility. Circulate hallways, restrooms, and common areas during class periods to ensure a safe environment, demonstrating the ability to assist and gently redirect students in the hallway who are out of class or off-task. ​​​​Follow and actively remind students of our school health/safety protocols. ●

  • Management: Perform daily administrative computer tasks, including cross-checking student schedules and records on Blackbaud. Track and document student attendance records or daily supervisory logs in Toddle. Actively employ Classwize during study hall monitoring to ensure students are accessing appropriate, on- task digital content on their school devices. ●

  • Supervision: Supervise students in classrooms during office hours and study hall sessions. Perform check-ins, support with student organization and lead them in goal-setting tasks. ●

  • Duties: Assist administration with student behavior management or incident reporting. Perform other duties as assigned by the middle school administration.

  • PM): Lead or assist with the afternoon dismissal process, ensuring students exit the campus safely or transition to designated after-school areas. Supervise students waiting for late pickups or participating in after-school waiting zones. ●

  • Duties: Maintain communication with the supervisors for end-of-day handoffs or incident reporting. Key qualities Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse, fast-paced, multilingual educational environment Strong communication skills with students and adults An interest in learning about and supporting library services Must be punctual, collaborative, self-motivated, and excited to interact with students Prior experience with school-age children strongly preferred Knowledge of French is a plus Must be eligible to work in the US

Note this is a Full Time, Non exempt role. The salary range is $30-$36/hr based on experience and qualification.
