About the role

Teachers will lead Pre-K through 8th-grade classes, creating engaging and meaningful Jewish learning experiences. They are expected to build lasting relationships with families and collaborate with clergy and educational staff.

Temple B'nai Or, a thriving and growing Reform synagogue in Morristown, NJ, is seeking experienced Judaic and Hebrew teachers for our Pre-K-6 and 8th grade classes.

If you are a creative and engaging teacher, we want to hear from you for the 2026-27 school year.

We seek teachers who would love to create lasting relationships with our families and work with our experienced and dedicated Director of Education, clergy, and teachers in their passionate mission to make Jewish life and learning meaningful, engaging, and fun for all our families.

Our Pre-K-7th grade students meet Sunday morning.

Grades 3-6 also meet Thursday afternoon.

Our Middle/High School meets on Monday evening.

Applicants should enjoy inspiring children and have knowledge of Jewish customs, holidays, prayers, and Hebrew.
