Full-Time Migrant Education Recruiter - Student Support Specialist - Parent Involvement Specialist
The Migrant Education Recruiter-Student Support Specialist-Parent Involvement Specialist is responsible for identification, recruitment, enrollment of eligible migrant children, and out of school youth in accordance with the Migrant Education state and local site recruitment plan. They will also be responsible for working with schools and service agencies to advocate and assist all students in developing self-concepts, educational competencies, etc. to become responsible and productive members of society. The Parent Involvement Specialist provides support to the parents to help meet the student's needs. This is a grant funded position.
Salary Firm - $41,865
Work Days: 260 work days per school year
20 vacation days, 13 paid sick days, 5 Personal Days, 2 Mental Health Days per school year (based on start date)
Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance upon hire date. $75/month for individuals or families.
Life Insurance: Two times salary, maximum $250,000 provided at no cost to employee
This job operates in a professional office environment. Incumbent must be able to sit at desk or in a vehicle for extended periods of time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment with a vast majority of the time utilizing computers to complete daily tasks. Due to travel outside of the home office, candidates are required to have a vehicle and valid driver's license to attend job related duties, meetings, seminars, and trainings.
