Paraeducators support students in general and special education classrooms by implementing instructional programs and assisting with individualized materials. They also collect behavioral data, facilitate peer relationships, and provide necessary personal care assistance to students.
HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Long Beach and we're looking to hire paraprofessionals/paraeducators who can assist students before and during school hours. You will be working with students in K-12th grade.
You'll be actively supervising students as you help them catch up from learning gaps developed over the past school year.
You must be comfortable passing an IN-PERSON background check.

Paraeducators support students across a variety of classroom environments. The environment could be a general education classroom, or a special education classroom (i.e. resource room or specialized classroom). Paraeducators will work with special education teachers to support the needs of students who have IEP.
As research supports inclusion of students with disabilities, with guidance from federal legislation, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), students will be scheduled into classes based on their individual needs.
$19-$24/hr Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview
