About the role

The behavior technician will implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to work 1:1 with children and young adults in various settings. They are responsible for collecting data, providing personal care support, and collaborating with a licensed BCBA to meet individualized client goals.

Working in conjunction with a licensed BCBA, the behavior technician will be responsible to serve a caseload of families (1- 4 on average) and work 1:1 with children/young adults (ages 2 - 21) with behavioral disabilities in their home, community, schools, and/or clinical settings (assignments individualized per case).

The fun you’ll have will include: Work and play with kids through the implementation of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques Learning about the field of ABA, taking data, and seeing the change you are making in your clients' lives Collaborate and receive mentorship from experienced clinical leaders Growing in a rewarding career Some experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, direct support, education, or a related field Support with daily living and personal care routines—including toileting, hygiene, and self-care skills—using structured, individualized ABA strategies to promote independence.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred but not required Be at least 18 years of age with some college education in the field; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred Ability to communicate effectively using both written and verbal skills Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and valid automobile insurance CPR/First Aid Certified preferred Competitive Pay with Paid Training, Travel Time and Mileage Paid Sick Time Off Career advancement opportunities with increases in pay Professional development Training to become a Registered Behavior Technician; no experience required Continuing Education Units to maintain RBT credential Flexible schedule (Must have 4 days of availability M-F, with afternoon/evening availability preferred) Access to National University with 15% discounted rates towards coursework Access to Purdue University Global with 20% off published tuition rates for all undergraduate programs and certificates, 14% off published tuition rates for all graduate programs and certificates Employee Assistance Program (EAP) (available to all employees) Health/vision/dental Insurance (eligible employees) 401K plan Generous Employee Referral Program Patterns offers career development for employees through internal training and mentorship with experienced clinical leaders.

Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years old with some college education and possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is required, and an RBT credential is preferred.
