The coach is responsible for providing tennis instruction to various groups and assisting with junior development and youth programming. They will also support the Tennis Director with club events, tournaments, and administrative tasks.
Summary/objective Responsible for assisting with junior development and tennis youth programming. Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Provide competent tennis instruction for all groups and levels of players Supervise and interact with children to promote educationally and developmentally-stimulating programs and activities Assist with junior development of competitive players and 10 and under tennis Assist the Director with all club events, tournaments and USTA matches Assist with tennis instruction for summer camp and junior programming General administrative assistance as required Physical demands Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift Must be able to physically respond in a quick manner in the event of an emergency Must be able to fully participate in all indoor and outdoor activities Must be able to work professionally and calmly in an environment which may have heightened noise and stress Must be able to work in warm, humid, rainy or windy outdoor conditions Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
