About the role

The After School Program Aide assists with daily operations, including monitoring participants, leading activities, and ensuring safe check-in and check-out procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining program areas, including cleaning the kitchen and dining facilities.

Overview

The After School Program Aide will assist in various duties that support the program and permanent staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the After School Program
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings
  • Provide snacks to the after-school program participants
  • Assist with the monitoring of program participants during activities
  • Take the lead in program activities
  • Assist with the transportation of program participants
  • Ensure the safe check-in and check-out of children participating in the after-school program
  • Assist with cleaning and resetting program areas
  • Assist with cleaning of the kitchen and dining area
  • Other related duties as required

Education and experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • CA driver’s license (required)
  • 21 years of age (required)
  • Experience working in an after-school program
  • Experience with Microsoft programs

Skills and abilities

  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
  • Team player
  • Great communication skills

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
