The Transition Coach will serve as the primary point of contact for high school students, assisting them with college applications, financial aid, and enrollment. They are responsible for facilitating workshops, providing mentorship, and managing individual student success plans to ensure academic and life goals are met.

We employ a holistic approach that teams our staff with students, teachers, counselors, and parents to set and achieve academic goals, and a plan for college.
The role of the Transition Coach includes developing and maintaining a positive and mutually respectful relationship with students, parents, and faculty. As the main point of contact, the Transition Coach will assist high school students, most specifically high school seniors, in identifying, applying, and enrolling in postsecondary institutions. Transition Coaches will also facilitate workshops for students, families, staff, and the community at large.
● Counsel, motivate, advise, and provide caring mentorship to help all students meet their educational and life goals through monthly (or more as needed) transitional sessions
● Regularly review each student's progress toward meeting goals outlined in the ISSP (Individual Student Success Plan)
· Proactively engage students on-campus and virtually to ensure they meet critical financial aid deadlines and loan acceptance windows.
● Recruit and sustain youth participants throughout the program
● Establish a professional and supportive relationship with students
● Attend meetings with program and school site staff as necessary
● Submit daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports for students and families
● All other duties as assigned
● Minimum of 2 years of college, B.A./B.S. preferred and two years of relevant experience.
● Ability to work with youth who perform at different levels in either a classroom or after-school program setting.
