About the role

Infant Lead Teacher – Nurture, Inspire, and Lead

The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is seeking a compassionate and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to lead our youngest classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for an early childhood educator who enjoys building strong relationships with infants and families while mentoring fellow teachers and creating an exceptional learning environment.

As the Lead Teacher, you'll guide classroom instruction, support your teaching team, and provide responsive, individualized care that helps infants reach important developmental milestones during their first years of life.

What You'll Do

Lead the daily operation of the Infant classroom with a focus on safety, nurturing care, and developmentally appropriate learning

Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum through engaging sensory experiences and responsive interactions

Foster infants' cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional development

Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers to ensure consistent, high-quality classroom practices

Maintain individualized care routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental observations

Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and developmental updates

Ensure compliance with all New York State and New York City childcare licensing regulations and health and safety standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or High School Diploma with at least five years of relevant early childhood experience

Previous experience leading an infant classroom strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Must meet all applicable New York State and New York City childcare licensing requirements
