About the role

The English Teacher will provide personalized 1-to-1 instruction, adapting lessons and assessments to meet the unique academic and social-emotional needs of each student. Additionally, the role involves building strong partnerships with parents and collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the campus culture.

As an English Teacher, you’ll have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues.

Please note: Not all campuses serve grades 4 and 5, and specific details will be shared during the interview process.

What You'll Do: Teach in a truly personalized way — one student at a time.

Adapt lessons and assessments to meet each learner’s needs.

Mentor each student and support their social-emotional growth.

Build strong, consistent partnerships with parents and guardians.

Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to campus life or culture.

Keep student records accurate and organized.

Invest in your own growth through reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional development.

What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.

Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of English courses (English Composition, Literature, and Language Arts), following content standards — curriculum and resources provided.

Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.

Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.

Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student-centered environment.

Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.

Pay

$32.10/hr

Requirements

A bachelor's degree is required, with advanced degrees or teaching credentials considered a plus. Candidates must have experience working with diverse student populations and possess strong communication, organizational, and technological skills.
