We are seeking a Moderate Special Education Teacher with expertise in structured literacy to provide specialized reading services at the high school level. This role requires advanced training in the Orton-Gillingham approach to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver individualized and small-group reading instruction using Orton-Gillingham methods. Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Special Education.
  • Orton-Gillingham Credential (completion of both 1-year training and 1-year practicum).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting high school students with reading challenges.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Special Education and an Orton-Gillingham credential. A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred.
