The Speech-Language Pathologist provides direct instruction and specialized services to students according to their Individual Educational Plans. They also collaborate with school staff to develop instructional materials and monitor student progress within the special education program.

The Speech-Language Pathologist carries out the Special Education program for Aspire Public Schools.
What You Will Do: Provide direct, individual or small group instruction to identified pupils on a regularly scheduled basis as required in the IEP Collaborate with other personnel working with Special Education students Participate in developing and implementing Individual Educational Plans for students who qualify for Designated Instructional Services (DIS) Implement and monitor IEP of students who qualify for Designated Instructional Services (DIS) Screen, assess, and provide specialized speech and language services to students who qualify for services as established by State standards Consult with school and home office staff Develop instructional materials and strategies for Special Education students in the mainstream classroom Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
What You Will Bring: Strong communication and community-building skills Outstanding training and presentation abilities Experience in performance assessment Strong problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed Required Education, Credentials and Experience: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred Valid Speech-Language Pathology School Services credential, Clinical credential or Rehabilitative Services credential with an authorization in Language, Speech and Hearing 2+ years as a Speech-Language Pathologist preferred *Professionals in their Clinical Fellowship Year are encouraged to apply.
