About the role

The Recruiter manages the full-cycle hiring process for exempt and non-exempt staff while serving as a strategic consultant to campus leaders. They are also responsible for maintaining recruitment data, coordinating onboarding activities, and ensuring compliance with employment policies.

$58,000-$65,000.

Essential job duties

Lead the recruitment and hiring process for staff positions o Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt staff positions in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and College policies. o Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, establish search timelines, and fill vacancies efficiently. o Review and revise job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect position responsibilities and qualifications. o Post and advertise vacancies through Oracle and other recruitment sources. o Source, screen, and coordinate candidates throughout the hiring process. o Prepare and distribute offer letters and employment documentation.

Serve as a recruitment consultant to campus leaders o Advise hiring managers and search committees on recruitment best practices, inclusive hiring strategies, interviewing techniques, and employment processes. o Build collaborative relationships across campus to support effective workforce planning and hiring decisions. o Recommend improvements to recruitment practices to enhance the candidate experience and hiring outcomes.

Administer recruitment systems and employment records o Maintain recruitment data and applicant records within Oracle and other HR systems. o Ensure recruitment documentation is complete, accurate, and retained in accordance with College policies and legal requirements. o Support system enhancements, testing, and process improvements related to recruitment and onboarding. o Maintain external relationships with recruitment vendors. o Review and approve recruitment-related invoices and expenses.

Support onboarding and continuous improvement o Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks and new hire documentation. o Develop and update recruitment templates, forms, and standard operating procedures. o Participate in departmental projects that improve Human Resources services and operational effectiveness.

Support, respect, and embrace diverse backgrounds, values, and perspectives to build a strong and inclusive community.

Complete required training and participate in the College’s performance management process.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: o 2+ years’ experience in human resources, employment, recruiting, or relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Education: o Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
  • Experience: o 5+ years’ of recruiting experience or as a human resources generalist; experience using Oracle Cloud; experience with systems implementation; experience in higher-education

Prerequisites

• Employment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check, which may include criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, a motor vehicle check, verification of a DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre-employment physical.
