Salary Range: $61,000-$80,000 annually

North Hudson Academy is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Students with Disabilities to join our team full time. This position supports students ages 3 through 21 in a New Jersey Department of Education-approved private special education school serving students from preschool through high school.
Our school provides individualized educational programs for students with diverse learning, behavioral, emotional, communication, and developmental needs, including students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

Job responsibilities
Develop and implement instructional programs and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
Support a positive, structured learning environment using school-wide behavioral and instructional practices.
Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, and support staff.
Coordinate classroom activities and schedules.
Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and instructional resources.
Complete required documentation and student records accurately and timely.
Prepare reports and communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and educational professionals.
Participate in school meetings, conferences, professional development, and in-service training activities.
Contribute to educational planning and program development.
Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
This role is part of the Instructional Team and reports directly to the School Principal.
