Reading Partners is a national education nonprofit working with Title I elementary schools to provide students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by fourth grade. Reading Partners mobilizes community volunteers to provide one-on-one literacy tutoring for K-4th grade students to help unlock their strengths and limitless potential that have been stifled by systems working against them. Reading Partners is seeking responsible, patient, and motivated Federal Work Study students to support our one-on-one tutoring program. Using Reading Partners scripted, evidence-based curriculum, Online Literacy Tutors use our digital curriculum to work one-on-one with students via our online tutoring platform, using video conferencing. Online Literacy Tutors will provide tutoring for the following regions: North Texas, Detroit, Washington DC, Newark, New York, and South Carolina.
Tutoring with Reading Partners requires absolutely no experience, as we provide all the necessary materials and the ongoing training and support of a Reading Partners team member who is Remote with the students.
We are seeking Federal Work Study candidates who reside within one of these regions (North Texas, Detroit, Washington DC, Newark, New York, and South Carolina) that are dedicated to making a significant and permanent impact on the youth of these communities to apply for our Literacy Intervention Tutor position, where you will tutor students one-on-one and assist the Reading Partners Program Coordinator with administrative support
Opportunities are available Monday-Thursday from 8 am - 5 pm (hours vary depending on school site). We are currently seeking FWS tutors who can commit to working between 10-15 hours/week.
Location: REMOTE
North Texas, Detroit, Washington DC, Newark, New York, and South Carolina.
$25.00 per hour

The student's starting term at the Academy of Art University through graduation. Academy of Art University offers part-time employees paid sick leave.
