The instructional aide provides educational support to K-6 students, including small group instruction and assessment of math and reading aptitude. They also assist with student supervision duties such as lunchroom and recess monitoring and provide administrative support to the building office.
Instructional Aide LOCATION: Tomahawk Elementary HOURS OF WORK: 7 Hrs. Daily/Number of work-days dependent upon yearly calendars (8:30 am - 4:00 pm) STATUS: Classified – Non-Exempt, Full Time HOURLY: $14.00
This position is responsible for providing additional educational support for K-6 students. The instructional aide may be assigned to student supervision duties including but not limited to lunchroom supervision and added support for certified staff members during recess duty. Additionally, instructional aides may be required to assist in supporting the building office as needed.
This position reports to the building administrator.
This position requires the performance of light work. The position involves occasional hearing, lifting, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. The worker is required to have close visual acuity for the operation of learning technologies and relevant office equipment.
The job is performed in hazardous conditions.
