Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent experience working in a licensed childcare facility or early childhood program Knowledge of ages and stages of development for children 3 to 5 years of age Associate’s degree in Child Development and Early Childhood WORK ENVIRONMENT Typical office Business Hours M Th 800 am 500 p.m. F 800 am 1200 pm Summer M-Th 730 am 530 pm Periodic evening and weekend hours during peak periods (e.g., open enrollment, payroll) Occasional travel (less than 10%) Physical Demands Good physical health, energetic, nurturing, and patient Able to lift children up to 40 pounds, assist with potty training, walking, bending, standing, stooping, reaching, squatting down, stretching, sitting on the floor, rising up from low chairs or when sitting on the floor, and must be able to participate with children in gross motor activities The person in this position frequently communicates with others verbally and electronically; must be able to exchange accurate information Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus Ethical behavior, security sensitive work, team-oriented, cooperation with coworkers, secure work environment, confidentiality required Salary Range $80 half day - $145 full day BENEFITS Midland College faculty and staff enjoy a comprehensive choice of insurance plans
