As an elementary special education teacher in an instructional classroom, you’ll lead a smaller group of students who need more intensive, individualized support to access the curriculum at their pace and level.

Requirements
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) LBS1 endorsement required Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution Experience working with elementary school students preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to differentiate instruction and modify curriculum based on student needs Familiarity with behavior supports, accommodations, and inclusive classroom practices Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
