About the role

The Lead Twos Teacher will create engaging, age-appropriate lessons and foster social-emotional growth in a nurturing classroom environment. They will also maintain consistent routines and collaborate with families and co-teachers to support child development.

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a caring, creative, and enthusiastic Twos Teacher to join our early childhood education team!

Our twos program is all about discovery, independence, and building the foundation for a lifetime love of learning.

As a Twos Teacher, you’ll guide curious little learners through hands-on experiences that encourage exploration, language development, and social growth — all within a nurturing, safe, and fun classroom environment.

What You’ll Do Create engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that support each child’s development.

Foster social-emotional growth by modeling kindness, patience, and problem-solving.

Maintain consistent routines that help toddlers feel secure as they grow more independent.

Build meaningful relationships with families through daily communication and collaboration.

Partner with your co-teachers and school leaders to uphold a supportive classroom culture.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old and meet state licensing requirements. CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Prior experience in a licensed childcare center. Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and passion for helping children learn through play and exploration. Authorization to work in the United States Have experience working with children in the 2–3-year-old age group. Be warm, patient, and able to build strong relationships with both children and families. Be dependable and willing to step into a leadership role alongside the current teaching team. Have strong classroom management skills and be proactive in preventing challenging behaviors through engaging activities and consistent routines. Communicate effectively with families and fellow teachers. Be knowledgeable in developmentally appropriate practices and comfortable implementing curriculum while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
