Elementary teacher-In-Training / Future lead teacher: Tomorrow’s Promise Montessori School – Huntsville, Texas

Tomorrow’s Promise is looking for a special educator to grow with us as we prepare for the next chapter of our elementary program.

We are currently seeking an Elementary Teacher-in-Training / Future Lead Teacher who can begin working with us now, learn our school and students, complete Montessori training, and prepare to help lead our elementary program for the 2027–2028 school year.

Our elementary program is being developed as an extension of the education children already receive at Tomorrow’s Promise. Many of the children entering the program next year will be students who have grown up in our Montessori classrooms.

During the 2026–2027 school year, this position will work with children within our existing programs while receiving training and gaining experience in our Montessori philosophy, curriculum, school culture, and expectations.

A particular focus of this position will be helping children who are struggling to learn to read or who need additional individualized academic support.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who

Loves working with elementary-Aged children.

Has a heart for children who may need extra time, patience, or a different approach to learning.

Is comfortable providing individualized reading and academic support.

Is willing to complete montessori training.

Is organized, dependable, patient, and teachable.

Can maintain a structured, respectful classroom environment.

Is interested in growing into a leadership role as our elementary program develops.

Is comfortable working in and supporting the values of a conservative christian school.

Education & experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

College degree in any field preferred, but not required.

Education, child development, reading intervention, tutoring, homeschooling, montessori, or elementary classroom experience is a plus.

Montessori experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Experience successfully helping children learn to read is highly valued.

The opportunity

This is not simply a position we need to fill today. We are looking for someone who would like to grow into our future elementary teacher and program leader.

Our goal is for the selected candidate to spend the coming school year learning our program, working with our children, completing appropriate training, and preparing for the expansion of our elementary program.

The future elementary lead position is anticipated for the 2027–2028 school year and will be based on successful completion of training, job performance, enrollment, and the opening of our expanded elementary facility.
