The Community Engagement Coach provides direct support to neurodivergent students by helping them manage daily routines, social interactions, and individual goals outlined in their Student MAPs. They also facilitate community activities, monitor student progress, and collaborate with leadership to maintain a supportive residential environment.
What We're Building Mansfield Hall is a living and learning community for neurodivergent college students, students who are capable of college but not yet fully ready for total independence. We organize the work around four areas: Living (independent living skills), Learning (academic and executive functioning), Giving (community involvement), and Engaging (social and emotional growth). Coaches are how all four of those actually happen. Not in a classroom, in the moment, every day.
What You'll Actually Do Provide direct coaching and support to residential students navigating daily schedules, community expectations, social situations, and individual goals Help students follow the routines in their Student MAPs Build positive, professional relationships with students that include encouragement, accountability, feedback, and clear boundaries Address and de-escalate student well-being concerns Facilitate social interactions and coordinate extracurricular activities Monitor and document student progress; manage the on-call staff phone during your shift Assist with meal setup and community space upkeep

What You Bring Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, psychology, education, social work, or a related field At least one year of direct experience coaching, mentoring, tutoring, or supporting young adults Comfort in a dynamic residential environment supporting up to 50 students Clear, respectful, professional communication, including in emotionally heightened moments
Compensation & Benefits This role pays $22/hr.
