IA): Grand View University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Position (tuition waiver + stipend). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with all sports and the opportunity to lead 2-3 teams. Hours will vary and will include early mornings and late evenings, and some travel.
Other responsibilities include: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, daily maintenance and upkeep of facility, completing an ongoing curriculum. Candidates will receive valuable hands-on coaching experience in all aspects as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Strength & Conditioning.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Kinesiology or Exercise Science related field. CPR, First Aid and AED certification required. Possess or be working toward CSCS through the NSCA or the SCCC through the CSCCa. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, positive energy, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic. Skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teambuildr, GymAware, and OVR is recommended.
