Lead Early Childhood Teacher – Help Two-Year-Olds Build Confidence and Independence
The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe is seeking an experienced Lead Early Childhood Teacher to lead our 2-Year-Old classroom. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about guiding toddlers through one of the most exciting stages of development, where language, independence, curiosity, and social-emotional skills flourish.
As the Lead Teacher, you'll create a nurturing, structured classroom where children learn through purposeful play while mentoring Assistant Teachers and building strong partnerships with families.
Lead the daily operation of our 2-Year-Old classroom using The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
Foster independence through consistent routines, positive guidance, and hands-on exploration
Create a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
Mentor and support Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork and classroom consistency
Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and developmental updates
Observe and document children's developmental progress
Maintain compliance with all New Jersey childcare licensing regulations and health and safety standards
Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or High School Diploma with at least five years of relevant early childhood experience
Previous experience leading a toddler or two-year-old classroom preferred
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
Excellent classroom management, leadership, and communication skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Must meet all applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
