The Goddard School® of Cary Lochmere located at 2385 Kildaire Farm Road Cary, NC 27518 is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our team.

Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using The Goddard School's proprietary Wonder of Learning® curriculum Foster children's social-emotional development, independence, problem-solving skills, and kindergarten readiness Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate closely with an experienced teaching partner to support student learning and classroom success Observe, assess, and document children's growth and development Maintain positive and professional communication with families regarding their child's progress and classroom experiences Use positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities while ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements Participate actively in professional development and school initiatives Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture among faculty and staff

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field required Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred Previous experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten-aged children in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning setting preferred Experience planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom activities preferred Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills Ability to work collaboratively with a teaching partner and school leadership Excellent communication skills with children, families, and colleagues Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid NC Qualifying Letter Must meet all North Carolina childcare licensing and training requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with the care of children Make a Difference Every Day

Requirements
