The Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting in the overall care and education of a group of children from birth through age 12. The assistant teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing and stable environment, as well as providing safe surroundings for young children under the direction and supervision of the Lead Teacher.
The Assistant Teacher facilitates interactions among children to provide opportunities for development of self-esteem, social competence, and intellectual growth. This includes implementing daily lesson plans that have been developed in conjunction with the Lead Teacher.
Education: Required High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Required One (1) year experience in a professional childcare setting
Experience with young children in a group setting
