About the role

Job Description

Furqaan Academy is looking for highly energetic, enthusiastic candidates passionate about teaching our young children in Elementary, Middle, and High School departments. Requirements

U.S. Bachelor’s and/or Master's Degree in education or credits equivalent to Certification (Type 4, Type 3, Type 9) is a plus Previous Experience working in school. Must be able to legally work in the United States of America without employer sponsorships. Must be able to pass a local criminal history check, a fingerprint background check

Job Description

Primary responsibility is to educate students by delivering engaging, informative lessons in a structured and supportive environment. Teachers must design and implement a curriculum that aligns with the educational standards for their subject and grade level. They are responsible for creating lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments that measure student understanding and progress. In addition to teaching, teachers must maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance, communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress, and participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities. They also play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment by establishing classroom rules, addressing behavioral issues, and promoting positive relationships among students. Other common responsibilities of a teacher may include: Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students Providing individualized support and guidance to students who need extra help Collaborating with colleagues and administrators to improve student outcomes and school culture Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices and trends in education Managing classroom technology, including computers, projectors, and other digital tools Incorporating interdisciplinary and experiential learning opportunities into their lessons Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students in their care.
