The coach will teach progressive Trampoline and Tumbling classes while creating lesson plans and tracking athlete skill development. They are also responsible for promoting the program, communicating with parents, and maintaining a safe, positive environment.

  • Academy, we operate programs under three types of categories: Play, Learn and Compete. Our Compete program is intended for gymnasts who have already experienced and progressed in our Learn (recreational) program, and have shown interest and aptitude to advance to a competitive experience, and have a coach referral. We are looking for qualified coaches to nurture and grow our competitive T&T (Trampoline & Tumbling) program at SGA. You will join a team of other supportive and well-established T&T coaches to help expand the growing popularity of this exciting gymnastics discipline. SGA is committed to an environment that is safe, leads with positive reinforcement, and teaches skills in progressive manner. A successful T&T Coach will have an equal commitment to upholding these standards for our competitive team and all our athletes.

  • Coach responsibilities: Teaching progressive gymnastics classes in our Trampoline and Tumbling (T&T) Program. Many of our instructors work in multiple departments, teaching a wide range of ages and levels, and T&T Coaches on the Competitive Team are likely to teach in our Learn (recreational) program as well. SGA Coaches must demonstrate a commitment to a safe, positive environment where our athletes can compete, develop, and flourish. Creating your own lesson plans and tracking skill development. We provide the resources, but you get to be creative in how you want to teach your gymnasts. We offer state of the art equipment – both on the gymnastics floor and technology- so you have the tools you need to be successful. Follows SGA Mission, Vision and Values Communicates to front desk and marketing regarding programming Continually assess program for success Markets / promotes program internally and externally Works with other site Program Directors on overall gym programming and consistency as well as curriculum development Communicating with SGA parents about their child’s progression in your classes. Our coaches play a key role in their development as a child and as an athlete. Participating in our paid training opportunities. This can include our SGA University courses, USA Gymnastics clinics, sessions offered by our in-house SGA trainers, and more Assist in light cleaning and sanitation duties to keep our gyms fresh and ready for the next round of classes

  • QualificationsSGA is looking for: Minimum age of 18 years of age to fulfill all coaching and administrative responsibilities Previous experience coaching T&T, or as a high level gymnast Knowledge of USAG Code of Points, USAG Safety Certification preferred Ability to spot athletes safely and effectively Ability to build meaningful relationships with both youth and adults Enthusiastic about working with youth - previous experience preferred Experience working in fast-paced, active environments Ability to resolve any conflict or disagreements that may arise Desire to promote a positive learning environment for every child Desire to grow and lead within SGA We are looking for team members who are available primarily during weekday afternoon and evenings. Requirements

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess previous experience coaching T&T or as a high-level gymnast. Knowledge of USAG Code of Points and the ability to safely spot athletes are highly preferred.
