Employs a variety of teaching methods to engage different learning styles and ability levels. Prepares motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum, child development, and students’ varying abilities. Encourages an inclusive classroom that accepts the different perspectives and backgrounds of students and nurtures them to be globally minded. Communicates effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators and responds promptly to parents’ concerns. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Education, Educational Psychology, English, French, Foreign Language Education or related field; or a field related to the assigned subject area. Hold or be eligible for a Missouri Teaching Certificate, or, for non-US degreed candidates (Licence/Diploma), have valid credentials to teach in home country in accordance with MO Revised Statutes 160.420. Demonstrated ability to teach assigned content in French (native or near-native proficiency in French). Demonstrated effective classroom management skills.
