Provide educational services to students in school settings. Modify standard lesson plans and using specialized teaching techniques (e.g., multi-sensory learning, scaffolding) to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Use both formal and informal tools to monitor academic and behavioral performance, then updating IEP goals based on this data. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes general education teachers, parents, school counselors, speech therapists, and administrators to provide holistic support. Coordinate special education documentation, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring legal compliance with federal and state regulations like the Individuals with Disabilities Act.
