About the role

The Gifted Education Specialist will provide quality and compliance review of IEPs, guide IEP development, and interpret assessment data for gifted students. They will also deliver in-person or virtual services and participate in IEP meetings to support student growth.

Be Part of Our Village The Gifted Education Specialist position is a direct impact position at Project Play Therapy that plays a pivotal role in helping intellectually gifted students with Individualized Education Plans reach their fullest potential by guiding quality service delivery.

In this position, you will change the game for children who are intellectually gifted by providing quality and compliance review of current IEPs, guidance on IEP development for IG students, interpretation and educational implications of assessment data for the IG student/learner, in-person and/or virtual services, participation in IEP meetings, and review of service delivery and feedback to teachers.

This position reports directly to the Lead Special Education Teacher.

Requirements

Candidates must meet Tennessee Gifted Education requirements, specifically holding either the Gifted Employment Standard or the Gifted Endorsement. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with a collaborative mindset, are required for success in this role.
