After Care Coordinator for Palm Beach Christian Academy

Family Church is a growing network of neighborhood churches and Classical Christian schools in South Florida.

10-month position for 2: 30 to 6 pm, Monday through Friday

Position Overview

As an education professional, you will help shape future Christian leaders who will advance God’s church, community, and His Kingdom on earth. This position supports a classical Christian curriculum that involves a love for ancient wisdom, instilling virtue, connecting Christ to every subject, and developing world class rhetorical skills.

Reports to School Administration

Qualifications

  • Strong Christian faith and values.
  • Bachelor's degree in education with Teaching Certificate preferred.
  • Evidence of knowledge of After Care Programs.
  • Evidence of ability to interact collaboratively with students, parents, and Administration.
  • Evidence of excellent oral and written skills.
  • Must pass drug test, fingerprints, and Level 2 background check.

Responsibilities

  • – After Care Support
  • Coordinate daily routines and tasks such as taking attendance, distributing snacks, assisting with homework completion, and supervise the use of facilities, materials and equipment.
  • Join and support the Instructional Aide Team with bathroom breaks and lunch coverage, drop-off, or pick-up time.
  • Assist the Academic Support Team by providing one-on-one time to help eligible children to complete assignments during school hours.
  • Ensure a safe environment through active supervision and guidance.
  • Coordinate students’ schedules with administration, instructors and families.
  • Participate in crafts, games, activities and sports with students in a multi-recreational after school program.
  • Provide supervision of students.
  • Ensure safety, security and care of children.
  • Implement emergency evacuation procedures and first aid when necessary.
  • Document students’ accidents and injuries and completes accident reports.
  • Identify student misconduct, completes incident reports.
  • Provide general support to the School Administration.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in education, with a teaching certificate preferred, and demonstrate strong Christian values. Applicants are required to pass a drug test, fingerprinting, and a Level 2 background check.
