Description Make a Difference as a School-Based Mental Health Clinician

North Homes Children & Family Services is seeking a Mental Health Clinical Trainee or fully Licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP) to provide mental health services within the Bemidji School District.

This is a meaningful opportunity to support children, adolescents, and families while working in a collaborative school-based environment. As part of the school-based mental health team, you will provide therapeutic services that help students strengthen emotional regulation, coping skills, relationships, and overall well-being while supporting their success at school, home, and in the community.

Minimum Base Pay: $14.50 per hour, paid for all hours worked Productivity Pay: $30.00 per billable “hit” Employees are expected to meet a minimum productivity target of 28 hits per week.

For a full-time employee working 40 hours per week and meeting the standard productivity expectation, compensation is approximately: Base Pay: Approximately $1,160 per two-week pay period Productivity Pay: Approximately $1,680 per two-week pay period

Productivity pay is based on completed, billable services Base pay is paid for all hours worked, regardless of productivity Total compensation will vary based on actual hours worked and completed billable services. Employees have opportunities to increase their earnings by exceeding standard productivity expectations What You'll Do As a School-Based Mental Health Clinical Trainee or Professional, you will work closely with students, families, educators, school staff, and other professionals to provide high-quality, accessible mental health services within the school environment. Key responsibilities include: Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and adolescents. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Complete comprehensive mental health evaluations and other required clinical evaluations. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and team meetings. Collaborate with teachers, school administration, special education staff, families, case managers, and community providers. Provide crisis assessment and intervention support as needed. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and payer requirements. Utilize trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based therapeutic practices. Support families through education, resources, consultation, and coordination of care. Participate in clinical supervision, consultation, training, CEU opportunities, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Licensed Mental Health Professional Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Current Minnesota licensure as an LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP in good standing. Clinical Trainee Master's degree in a qualifying mental health field. Meets Minnesota requirements to practice as a Clinical Trainee under approved supervision. Commitment to obtaining independent clinical licensure. Participation in required clinical supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Experience providing school-based or community-based mental health services. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, and family systems. Strong clinical judgment and relationship-building skills. Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills.
