We are seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher in New Haven, CT to provide specialized instruction and support while collaborating with educators to help students with diverse learning needs succeed.

Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals. Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and school personnel. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in students’ IEPs. Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and other members of the educational team. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education. Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a school setting. Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies. Commitment to supporting student growth, inclusion, and academic success.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field and possess a valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education. Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs and strong classroom management skills are required.
