About the role

Lead and assistant teachers are responsible for providing high-quality childcare and educational support within a classroom environment. They must maintain a safe, organized, and engaging space while adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Open positions

• assistant teacher (2) – $16.43/Hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 1 year experience working with children under 13

LEAD TEACHER (1 UPK Classroom) – $19.57/hour

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, Child Development Associate Credential, OR 9 college credits with plan of study leading to degree/CDA
  • 2 years experience with children under 13
  • 1 year supervisory experience

Additional qualifications (All positions)

  • Maintain 30 hours of childcare-related training every 2 years
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Test and physician’s clearance to work in childcare
  • Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
  • Child Abuse Prevention (Supervisory Staff), CPR, First Aid, AED, Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 30 days of hire)

Work schedule

  • Assistant teacher (2)
  • Full Time; 30 or 40 hrs per week
  • Monday - Friday, 6 or 8 hr work shift per day
  • Lead teacher (1)
  • Full Time; 40 hrs per week
  • Monday - Friday, 8 hr work shift per day
