Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Adjunct Pharmacology Theory Nursing Instructor to educate practical nursing students in the principles and applications of pharmacology. This role involves teaching drug classifications, mechanisms of action, dosage calculations, and safe medication administration practices. The instructor will prepare students to understand and manage medication.

This role requires a dedicated professional committed to excellence in teaching and student success. The Faculty member provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to gain employment in their chosen field of study by utilizing teaching skills, experience, and abilities to create a positive, nurturing, and effective learning environment, thereby actively retaining and successfully graduating students from their program of study.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing. All degrees must be from institutions accredited by regional or national accrediting bodies approved by the U.S. Department of Education. Foreign transcripts may be acceptable in some cases and require a translation and evaluation of equivalency to U.S. degrees by a recognized agency.
  • Licensing as a Registered Nurse in Florida or a Compact License.
  • Minimum of 1 year of successful teaching experience required.
  • Must be able to work weekends for clinicals.
