Make a Difference for Neurodivergent Children & Their Families Jovie is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide in-home respite care for children with disabilities and neurodivergent children throughout San Diego. This rewarding part-time position is perfect for childcare professionals, behavior technicians, special education aides, nursing students, and experienced caregivers who are looking for meaningful after-school work with flexible scheduling.

What You'll Do Provide safe, engaging, and compassionate in-home care Build meaningful relationships with children and their families Engage children through games, crafts, outdoor play, reading, sensory activities, and other age-appropriate experiences Support daily routines while encouraging independence and confidence Follow each family's care plan and communicate professionally with parents Create a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive Schedule Part-time opportunities available Most shifts begin after 12:00 PM Typical shifts are 4–6 hours (4-hour minimum) Weekday afternoons are our greatest need Weekend opportunities may also be available Work with vetted local families You'll be a great fit for this job if you: Have at least 1 year of childcare or caregiving experience Enjoy working with children of all abilities Have experience with special needs, autism, developmental disabilities, ABA, respite care, or behavioral support (preferred but not always required) Are patient, dependable, and compassionate Communicate professionally with families Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance Can provide at least 2 childcare-related references Are at least 18 years old Good to know: Experience may come from nannying, babysitting, respite care, ABA therapy, behavioral intervention, daycare, preschool, special education classrooms, camps, church nursery, or other childcare settings.
