Your Role Will Include Providing Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Collaborating with general education teachers, school psychologists, reading specialists, speech and hearing specialists, and administration to develop integrated support plans for students in their least restrictive environments.
Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
Guiding students toward curriculum goals by establishing clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects, and communicating those objectives to students.
Writing Review of Existing Data (RED) reports and Individualized Education Plans for students.
Conducting IEP meetings and Review of Existing Data meetings with student families.
Maintaining accurate, complete, and compliant records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
Encouraging students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or Special Education. Special Education Certification (preferred). Arizona Teaching Certification or Early Childhood Certification (preferred). Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and administration. Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.
