About the Role

Hello, General Education Teachers!

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time General Education Teacher for a Kindergarten classroom setting in Augusta, GA.

In this role, you’ll create a welcoming and engaging classroom environment while supporting students as they build foundational academic, social, and emotional skills.

You’ll plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction, monitor student progress, and collaborate with families and school staff to help each student thrive throughout the school year. multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with IEP goals and student progress.

This is a great fit for both seasoned special education teachers and those new to school-based settings.

  • + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses Mileage reimbursement between sites + referral bonuses What You’ll Do Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with Georgia’s Kindergarten academic standards Develop lesson plans that build foundational skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies Assess and monitor student progress through classroom assessments, observations, and student work Differentiate instruction to support a variety of learning styles, abilities, and academic needs Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment using effective behavior management strategies Support students’ social, emotional, communication, and independence skills Collaborate with families, teachers, support staff, and administrators to promote student success Maintain required documentation and follow school, district, and state curriculum requirements, policies, and procedures What We’re Looking For Hold or be eligible for appropriate Georgia teaching certification in the applicable General Education grade level/content area Must have passed, or be eligible to complete, the applicable GACE content assessment(s) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Strong communication and collaboration skills School-based teaching experience preferred, but not required About Ampersand Therapy
