The School Social Worker will provide direct and indirect emotional, behavioral, and social support to elementary students. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conduct IEP evaluations, facilitate therapy sessions, and implement behavioral intervention plans.
Supporting students across a variety of needs/programs - including general education and self-contained classrooms.

Space: You will have a private, dedicated office space in each building to conduct sessions and meetings.
Provide direct and indirect social work services to students in need of emotional, behavioral, and social support. Push in to classrooms to provide therapy while supporting and collaborating with teachers. Work together with the multidisciplinary team to prioritize student success and safety. Conduct IEP evaluations and contribute to the development of meaningful student goals. Facilitate small group and individual sessions. Lead and support the implementation of BIPs and FBAs. Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings to advocate for student needs. Support students and families in accessing community resources.
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. Michigan School Social Work Certification (Required) Experience working with school-aged children is preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
