Substitute teachers may be assigned a lead or supporting role in a classroom, depending on grade level, discipline and student needs.

A bachelor’s degree and experience working with children is required.
Lower School substitutes are interviewed by the Lower School Substitute Coordinator who maintains the substitute list. Please note that Virginia law requires background checks for school employment.
