About the role

The Spanish Teacher is responsible for creating a safe and nurturing learning environment while implementing the Spanish language curriculum for preschool and elementary students. They will also collaborate with faculty and maintain daily communication with parents or guardians.

About the Role

As a Preschool/Elementary Spanish Teacher at Stratford School, you're responsible for creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for children between 3 and 5 years of age. This position offers an opportunity to engage preschool-aged children in immersive Spanish language experiences. Candidates enthusiastic about promoting language development in young children are encouraged to apply. You will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of TK - 2nd grade students while teaching Spanish language. You will also Plan, supervise and implement the Spanish curriculum Collaborate with other faculty and staff members Communicate daily with parents or guardians Participate in professional development opportunities What We Are Looking For 12 completed ECE semester units (or 18 quarter units) required, including coursework in: Child Growth and Development Child, Family, and Community Program/Curriculum OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development BA Degree required Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be fluent in both Spanish and English language Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In general, this position requires an individual to frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language. In addition, this position often requires an individual to carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend. This position is regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction. Requirements

Candidates must have 12 ECE semester units or a Bachelor's degree in Child Development, along with fluency in both Spanish and English. Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred, and the role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
